More than half of the world's largest enterprises have established shared services centers & GBS entities in India, to consolidate back-office work for different markets and improve efficiency of operations.
In India, these offshore-based captive units are more commonly known as global-in-house centers i.e. GIC or global capability center, i.e. GCC.
Traditional GCCs have come a long way from being seen as cost-optimization engines to now driving innovation and enterprise transformation. The next wave is clear: GCCs are becoming AI-first hubs, shaping how global enterprises build scale, resilience, and future-ready capabilities.
I’m attending an interesting webinar next week that dives deeper into this shift and the opportunities ahead. Sharing the link here in case others would like to join too: https://hubs.ly/Q03Lss1f0
